Dear Praying Brethern,

Greetings in our Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving for you. At the beginning of this year when we began planning in earnest for this short furlough, it seemed it would never get here. There was a lot of work to prepare for our coming here while we still had our hands busy with the work there. Furlough seemed that it was a world away. Now it seems that it has flown by.

Joy attended the Homeschool Alumni reunion, we visited eighteen churches in nine states, David and Charity flew to Kansas City for Ben's wedding, Benjamin and Stephanie were married, David and Joy flew back to Brazil, and now we only have five more weeks to visit seven more churches and be a help to the Wooster Baptist Temple while Pastor Koenig recovers from surgery before we return to Brazil. What a wonderous and blessed time among family and brethern this furlough has been. Thank you for your part in supplying our needs and praying for us. The Lord graciously used you to encourage us.

Our itinerary in August is:
August 1 morning service – Beverly Manor Baptist, Washington, IL
evening service – Brimfield Baptist, Brimfield, IL
August 15 morning service – Emmanuel Baptist, Waynesville, OH
evening service – West Milton Baptist, West Milton, OH
August 22 morning service – Heritage Baptist, Salem, OH
evening service – Calvary Baptist, Rittman, OH
August 29 both services – Wooster Baptist Temple, Wooster, OH
August 30 – return to Brazil

As we travel, I will also be visiting pastors whose churches I am unable to schedule in before our return to Brazil.

Thank you again for your filling us with books, counsel, relaxation, and myrid other blessings. We continue to need your ministrations as we look forward to that ministry the Lord has blessed us with in Brazil.

In Our Lord,
Brother Calvin Gardner
