Dear Praying Friends,

Thank you for praying for us as we make preparations for the move to Chile. Andres and I have been communicating with the Chilean embassy, customs, and shipping agencies, and are finding that all of that process will yet take a minimum of 4 months. We are still trying to coordinate that with the deputation schedule of visiting supporting churches, as well as closing up the house in McAllen. It gets confusing at times, and we need your prayers.

Right now all 4 of our children are here at the house picking out some things each would like to keep, and dividing up the library that was collected over 23 years of homeschooling. (Daniel has a couple of years in homeschooling yet to finish -- we appreciate your prayers for him.) We have had some good sales of things from the house, and have more to do yet. We will evenually be selling our vehicles, which will be replaced with only one in Chile. I expect we will use public transportation a lot once there, since gasoline costs about $5.20 US dollars per gallon ($700 Chile pesos per liter).

Selling our vehicles and belongings will not generate enough to replace them in Chile. Please pray with us about the special expenses that will exist when we first arrive on the field. We are trusting that the Lord will provide.

My last trip to visit supporting churches was cut short -- two meetings had to be cancelled -- due to a bout with kidney stones. Thankfully, the extremely painful part of the experience did not last too long! and I am fine now.

The church in Cardenas Mexico now meets in the upstairs room at Bro. Eduardo's restaurant. Everything that they had stored or in use at the church's rent house was lost. Please pray for the brethren from Torreon and Nuevo Progreso who go monthly to minister to the brethren in Cardenas, and that the Lord would call and send a man as pastor for the church.

Please continue praying for Janet's health, our packing, selling, applications, background checks, health checks, visas, the sale of our vehicles and house in McAllen, and other details of our preparations.

Grace and Peace,
Bro. Danny G. Roten
