Nehemiah

Life Lesson for Year: 3 - Week: 1

Scripture 1: Old Testament - Nehemiah

Sneak Peek:

The Jews who had been carried away captive had settled down in their new homes. Many had important jobs. Nehemiah was a cupbearer to King Artaxerxes. That means he was his special trusted assistant. He was called a cupbearer, because he was in charge of making sure that no one poisoned the king’s wine. Even though the Jews were at home in their new land, they still thought of their home in the land of Israel. They especially thought a lot about Ezra and Zerubabel and their attempts to rebuild in Jerusalem.
