Newsletter - January - March 2008 (Click below for a .pdf file that shows December's Newsletter-292 KB) I am very thrilled to report to you that in the last three months, the Lord once again was pleased to save three souls! After time of laboring in prayer, the Lord finally granted faith and repentance to RJ, Rodel, and Shundey, who are among our many young adults seeking God! We greatly rejoice over this. We still continue to labor in prayer those who continue their pleading with God. BAPTISMLast Sunday, after our evening service, we all drove to the closest pool. I baptized Joshua together with these three precious souls. My heart was overwhelmed with joy as I listened to each of their testimonies. We had a great time of singing and prayer by the pool. What a rejoicing time that evening! EVANGELISTIC SERVICE - "Fill-A-Chair" SundayTwo Sundays ago, we had another Evangelistic service. What a great turn out! The whole place was packed! I asked Pastor Brad Collingwood, a fellow missionary and a long time friend, to speak for us. What a tremendous and a powerful message of Salvation he gave that day! NEW MEMBERSWe greatly rejoice over this new family who recently joined membership. They have been coming faithfully for months. The man was saved before he came to our church, but the wife was recently saved during our camp last December. I have seen them grow tremendously. They had a deep desire to serve the Lord and be a part of the ministry here. They immediately involved themselves in the church work! They are a blessing to me and my wife. JAIL MINISTRYOn Mondays, I have the privilege to take along with me some of our men to the local jail house and preach to the prisoners. After that, we go to different places and give out gospel tracts. Sometimes, the Lord opens the door for new Bible Studies. ROBBY, OUR SONMy wife and I are very excited as our son, Robby, has just graduated in High School this past week. He is turning 17 in June. Robby has an interest in medicine. He desires to go to the States and take Pre-Med in Pensacola Christian College. We seek God's direction concerning this and the financial challenges that will ensue. Please include this concern in your prayers. This is our first time to send off a son to college. We welcome any advice or suggestions you might have for us! The devaluation of the dollar here continues to go downward and the prices continue to rise. It has been very rough but the Lord is faithful to bring us through. We look to His mercies! We face great needs both in personal and in ministry. Oh how we need your prayers. Yet, in all of this, we are very grateful to the LORD for what He is doing here. It is a great joy to be in the ministry. Thank you for praying for us and your faithful financial support to our family and the work here! Your Co-Laborers in Christ,Bro. Terry, Cynthia, Robert and Bryce Newsletter - December 2007 (Click below for a .pdf file that shows December's Newsletter-616 KB) Greetings from the Philippines! We had our camp in the month of December and what a tremendous time it was! Our theme, "Living to Magnify Christ." I focused on Phil.1:20 and have truly enjoyed teaching and preaching to these dear people as we meditated and studied the verse. We had a great time of fellowship all throughout the different activities. I concluded our final evening service of the camp with a strong message directed to those who are not able to Magnify Christ because of their lost condition. There were testimonies afterwards. Others, with great heaviness of heart, spoke of their burden of their spiritual lost condition and have asked for prayers. It was an extra ordinary evening of prayer and preaching. There was a Spirit of brokenness in our midst. The Lord is truly moving in the hearts and lives of these precious people. Another Soul Saved!I PRAISE GOD for saving Joshua! This young man is one of our many young men whom I have grown to love and prayed for years for the Lord to save! Joshua is 16 yrs old, who started attending our services since 2005. At first, he didn?t show much interest toward the things of God. Two years later, God began to trouble him of his sinful condition. Joshua struggled with God as he began to see the corruptness of his own heart. Until one Sunday, in December, during the morning service, as he listened intently while I preached and quoted Romans 4:5, the Lord, in His great mercy and grace, opened his eyes and revealed to him Jesus Christ! For the first time, he said, he understood! He now sees Christ as His righteousness! He finally found rest in Christ?s work and Christ?s righteousness alone! PRAISE GOD!!! This photo was taken during our service that evening as he gave his testimony. He spoke in deep contrition and great joy of what Christ has done for him. God Working In Our Young PeopleI rejoice greatly over the increasing number of our young people but most of all, the growing number of the unsaved souls in our midst who are awakened to a sense of their lost condition. Pray for RJ, Israel, Rodel, Vincent, Hannah, among many of our young people who are beginning to have a deep sense of their depravity and of helplessness of human nature! Oh that God would wrought a mighty work in the hearts of these precious souls! Please remember them in your prayers. Church Proerty UpdatePlease remember to pray with us as we continue to seek God's provisions for the remaining amount we need to purchase this property. I thank our God for the faithful giving of our people and of the help of some churches in the States toward this need. Bible Studies, Tract Distributions and other various ministries... are much ongoing. What a great privilege and joy to see many souls come to the awareness of their sinful lost condition and have genuine conversion! I praise God for the many visitors who have been coming and now have become faithful attendees. Thank you so much for your prayers and support in the ministry here. We love you all!

(Click below for a .pdf file that shows September/November's Newsletter-308 KB) Greetings from the land of the Philippines! FAMILY CAMP!The time of being away from the noise, busyness and pressures of daily life to a distant serene place together with fellow believers was truly a refreshing time for our people. Preparations for our family camp this year are underway. Our camp dates are from Dec. 26 to 29. Our people are very excited! Last year, we had a tremendous time of Bible learning, exhortation, and edification during our camp. Our people are eager to do it again this year! Many were unable to join last year, so we held fund raising projects to help those who can't afford but want to come this time. Unfortunately, the funds are insufficient to help all those who need it. The cost is Php2000.00 ($47.00) per person. Would you be interested in sponsoring someone for camp? It will definitely bring a big smile to someone's face! It sure would be a great blessing! "ALL SAINTS DAY"November 1, a majority of the Filipino population observe All Saint's Day. During this day, Filipinos flood the cemeteries to remember their dead, clean the graves, and decorate them with flowers. I, together with our people, take advantage of this great opportunity every year. Many of our people came out to give out gospel tracts. We divided into two groups and headed to two different cemeteries. We gave out 2,000 books of "John and Romans" and countless Gospel tracts. We thank our brother, Pastor Cliff Christman, for supplying us with the books. ![]() Before going to the cemeteries. ![]() My son, Bryce, haning a tract to this policeman ![]() All Saints Day at the cemetery The whole month of October was our Sunday school Competition month. Our Sunday school classes competed for the best in memory verse, quizzes, and also for the perfect and most attendance. Each class worked hard especially in bringing visitors. What a great turnout! The best part of this whole event was the message of "the sinfulness and hopelessness of men and the justification by faith in Christ alone" was emphasized in the Sunday school hour. Many lost souls came and heard this Truth! DOCTRINES CLASSWe have several new families who wish to join membership yet seem void of Life; they are full of zeal but not according to knowledge. I then decided to start a Doctrines Class for non-members who are interested in joining the church. In this way, they will have a better understanding of where we stand as a church on many different issues, especially the Doctrine of Sin. It is an 8-week class and we have been having more than 40 in attendance each week. These families and individuals are very faithful in coming to church. Please pray the Lord would be pleased to open the eyes of those who are truly seeking God. Again, thank you so much for holding us up in prayers. And thank you for your support for us and the ministry here. Your Co-Laborers In Christ,Bro. Terry, Cynthia, Robert and Bryce Newsletter - August 2007 (Click below for a .pdf file that shows August's Newsletter-1.2 MB) The Mission Conference we had went very well. We had a great time of prayer, good singing and heard some good challenging messages. Peter Evanglista, the man whom the Lord saved recently, came up to me after our mission conference, and told me that he is surrendering his life to go into missions. Praise God! Please pray for Peter, and also for me as I train this dedicated young man. We had one family who just joined the church. There are three other families that have been coming and now seeking membership. We have been blessed with good attendance and numerous visitors every Sunday. We might have to tear down some walls again to make more room. Currently, we have 3 on going Bible studies in different areas of the city. Tract distributions are still very much actively carried out every week. From CynthiaI praise God for the restored health! Thank you so much for your prayers, I am back to doing what Ilove to do... sing and teach! Music, youth and children ministries are dear to my heart. What a grand privilege it is for me to be able to teach and sing once again about the God of the Bible! The God that I love and exceedingly fear! It is also an honor to have sweet young ladies here who mentor me in many ways. It is my joy grooming the girls to be the next church pianists. Being in the ministry is precious to me ? but obsession with God and conformity to His Son is my deepest passion and desire that I ardently challenge our ladies with, not only during our monthly fellowships, but as I also spend time individually with each of these precious souls. From Bryce, 7yrs oldI love to catch bugs they are my favorite and worms too. And bugs are cool! I'm writing a book my mom says I can sell it to gramma and grampa when I?m done. George Washington is my favorite president because he saved my country. I?m American! I love America!!!! From Robert, 16yrs. oldIt is my last year in high school, and I am now looking forward to college next year. Attending an ACE school (Accelerated Christian Education), I am striving to finish the requirements needed for graduation. It is my prayer and my dream to attend a Christian College or University in the States next year. Fortunately, I do not share my brother's love for bugs, but my hobbies include reading, ice hockey, and especially writing. I also enjoy teaching the Junior Church. I am hoping to be able to have a short story collection published within the next few years. Needs and PrayerThe deflation of the dollars here continues to drop and regrettably our support does too. Our support is not at the level it should be and many months it is difficult. As of now, we have been left with a great need that I would ask you to pray about being a part in. Our youngest son will be needing 3rd grade home school books for this coming school year which will cost around $80.00. Our oldest son, Robby is in his final year in High school. He needs monthly tuition which is $150.00 until March. One church has given $500.00 and was used toward his enrollment and covered part of the following month's tuition. We are so grateful for that. If the Lord would lead you to be a part, we would be very thankful. Please pray what the Lord would have you to do. If you are not able to help, will you please pray with us for this need? Again, thank you for your faithfulness throughout the years. You have been a blessing to us and the work here.
Objects of HIS Mercies, (Click below for a .pdf file that shows April_May's Newsletter-232 KB) As we eagerly welcomed the end of the school-year in March, I promptly took the opportunity to start back our Summer Bible Institute Classes again. Our classes started the first week of April. The classes we offer are Witnessing to the Cults, New Testament Survey, and Basic English. Each class is twice a week. This ministry is not only for our church members and regular attendees, but it is also open to the public. We have about 30 students right now. The classes are free and of no charge. We are excited and overjoyed once again to see our wonderful Saviour wrought a mighty work in the hearts of two souls here in our church! Praise God!! This is Peter Evangelista, 28 yrs old. He is a good man, a Bible student graduate. The other one is Jocy Dela Fuenta, 25 yrs old who used to be a church secretary. Both of them were previous members of other churches. They started attending our church over a year ago. They confessed that their devotion to the work and significant positions in their own churches blinded them from seeing their true sinful condition. Not until a few months back that God began to reveal in their hearts their own wretchedness. I so much wish you could hear their testimonies of how the Lord revealed His holiness and brought deep conviction in their souls. Through Christ and His precious blood they found peace with God! There was great joy and weeping in our midst as they spoke of God's working in their souls! Vacation Bible School is one of the activities we all look forward to every year! And this is our third year to hold one! Instead of bringing all the children to our church building, we went out to 5 different areas and set up our outdoor classes. Two separate classes for each station, Primaries and Juniors. We praise God for our dedicated teachers who themselves enjoyed and benefited from our lessons and could not wait to preach to the children! Their enthusiasm did not diminish in spite of the cruel heat. This year, we had a total of 300 children who attended our Vacation Bible School. It was encouraging to see the children's eagerness as they listened to the lessons in spite of the searing weather conditions. The exciting part was that there were parents and bystanders who also sat and listened. Our theme this year was "The Awesome God!" The children learned 5 wonderful attributes of our God. Our goal... "that children may learn to fear and be in awe of our God." As of today, our church has raised 1,024,195.00 Pesos! ($22,759.00) Please continue to pray with us as we seek God's provisions for the remaining amount we need to purchase this property. We are grateful to the Lord for you. We can't thank you enough. Had it not been for churches and leaders like you that hold the ropes for us and without your prayers and financial support for our ministry in this far away land, it would not be possible doing what we do here. We thank God for your obedience to and involvement in our Lord's commission. For His Glory,Bro Terry, Cynthia, Robert and Bryce Newsletter - January-March 2007 (Click below for a .pdf file that shows Jan_March's Newsletter-376 KB) Our church building was full to capacity practically filling every chair as we held our annual "Fill-A-Chair" Sunday as a special event in our evangelistic ministry. People responded to the flyers we gave out as well as to the banners which we put up along the highway inviting everyone for this special event. The outcome was tremendous! We were blessed to have our good friend, and fellow missionary, Pastor Rudy Calayan as our guest speaker. The message of salvation by GRACE alone was clearly heard as it was plainly and boldly preached to the ears of these people. Our Youth Ministry continues to grow in number. On our "Youth Emphasis" Sunday, our young people had a special time taking important part in the church activities such as ushering, playing the piano, etc. Please pray for these precious teenagers. Many of them acknowledge that they have not yet been granted repentance and faith by our Sovereign One and yet they come faithfully with eagerness and keenness to learn about the things of God. They are patiently waiting on God for salvation. And as for those who have been enlightened by the glorious gospel, they are being used tremendously as they passionately share their faith with their fellow teens. They can openly say with their own experience that "Salvation is truly of the Lord." We ask that you would continue to pray with us as we fervently seek God's provision in raising the funds we need to purchase a place for our church building. We are grateful for the prayers that were lifted up for my wife. Cynthia seems to be feeling better, though she was diagnosed with a mild Polypoid Corditis, a vocal cord disorder. Her fainting spells and unexplained weakness is gradually going away. Praise God! So far, the Doctor's have not found anything serious in her condition. I would still want her to get a complete lab work as the Lord provides the means. For now, we ask that you would continue to keep her in your prayers. We are very grateful for your love and prayers for me, my family and the work here. We are thankful to the Lord for your involvement in this part of your mission program. Subjects of His Grace,Bro. Terry, Cynthia and Family Newsletter - December 2006 (Click below for a .pdf file that shows December's Newsletter-116 KB) In our last letter, I shared about a young lady, Annaliza, whom the Lord saved. We praise HIM for the work He has done in her life. She seems to be growing, and she?s now teaching in children Sunday school. Please keep Annaliza in your prayers as God continues to grow her in the Faith. This time, I would like to tell you about Israel. He is 17 and has been coming to our church with a hunger for God. The Lord has brought him through some tragedies the past 6 months. His father died at a very young age of 49 due to some rare disease. Through this, it brought Israel in a deeper need for God. He comes faithfully to all the services and comes to visitations with me. It?s exciting to see the Lord?s working in his life. Israel shows great interest in the Word. Above all, he is broken over his sinful condition! Praise God! Please pray that God would soon reveal His Son to Israel?s heart and I pray that the Lord would be pleased to call him to preach one day! This part of the ministry has been a great means in reaching and spreading out the gospel in our area here in Imus. We have new several people who opened their homes and schools for Bible Studies. We continue to labor and seek for opportunities to speak about our Savior. We praise God for the fruit we?ve seen come out of this. It was our first time to hold our very own Church Family Camp. It surely was an exciting time for us. These are the people who joined. They are all from our church, Imus Baptist Temple. Our time was filled with fun. But best of all, a great time of studying and learning from God?s Word. We would like to do it again this year and invite other churches to join us. We are excited to tell you that two churches responded concerning our need for Bibles. The future owners are eagerly waiting! We praise our God for His goodness! The needed cost for our car repair was answered! Praise God! We are so grateful to our Lord and to His people! So far, we have saved and raised a substantial amount but we still need $22,000. (The amount adjusts due to the devaluation of the dollars.) Please lift us up in your prayers concerning this great need. Please pray for my wife. Cynthia has been sickly lately and has developed Laryngitis. This has been going on and off for two years. Lately, her condition has gotten worse. The doctor suspects an underlying illness. She will need various kinds of medical/laboratory tests. The cost to cover these medical expenses will be $1,500. Please help us pray for this need. Once again, thank you for all the love, prayers and faithful financial support. Subjects of His Grace,Bro. Terry, Cynthia and Family Newsletter - November 2006 EVANGELIZING DURING THE "ALL SAINTS DAY" CELEBRATIONS (Click below for a .pdf file that shows the people of Imus Bpatist Temple distributing gospel tracts at All Saints Day activites -332 KB) Newsletter - October 2006 (Click below for a .pdf file that shows the complete newsletter with pictures-424KB) (Text only version) We have been able to save $22, 000.00 towards our building fund. We still lack $24,000.00. The price of this property is $46,000. We ask that you would remember to pray for us concerning this great need. May the Lord be pleased to give us this place that we are currently renting. We keep growing and needing more room. Our landlord granted us permission to tear down a wall to create a new extension. The construction began last month and completed in three weeks. We praise the Lord for a bigger space. Please remember to pray for our great need... to be able to purchase this church property. This is Annaliza, 25 yrs old. She came to our church two years ago with a deep hunger to learn about God. She came faithfully to our services but did not have Life. Not until a few months back when the Lord has opened her eyes and showed her salvation! Listen to her testimony: (She wrote these words.)
"...I had so many questions in my life... why am I on this earth? I became burdened when I learned that I was dirty, smelly, helpless and hopeless in the sight of the Lord. My heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. This bothered me a lot... and because of this, hell would be my home forever. I realized that nothing that I do can bring me to the holy God. Not even any of my good deeds and the 10 commandments. But praise the Lord, today, I am redeemed and covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, not because of my good deeds or anything that I have done. I am now found in Him not having mine own righteousness which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ the righteousness which is of God by faith. For he (God) hath made him (Jesus) to be sin for me who knew no sin that I would be made the righteousness of God in him (Jesus Christ.) Which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. My life is not about me, it is all about Jesus Christ. In Jesus, I am complete. I am free from the wrath of God. ...I am now a member of God's family. Eph. 2:19. Imus Baptitst Temple, thank you for you prayers! "- Annaliza We thank you so much for taking part in the ministry here in the Philippines. We have posted down the immediate needs we have at this time. Last year, the Lord was pleased to give us a car. It is a great joy to have a decent car, finally. We are grateful to those who had a part in praying and giving toward this need. Although recently we found out that the previous owner had rigged it and was not fixed properly. The rear end alignment along with bushings and tires all need to be replaced. It is disheartening to find out now what has to be done. The cost of this will be $730. We covet your prayers concerning this need. Again, thank you for your prayers and faithful support. We are truly grateful to the Lord for taking part in the Lord's work here. Subjects of His Grace,Bro.
