Brother Terry and his wife, Cynthia, have been serving in the Philippines since 1998. Cynthia is a natural born citizen of the Philippines. Terry was raised in the Philippines by his missionary parents. After Bible School training in the states, Terry and Cynthia returned to fulfill their calling to carry the Gospel to the Filipino people. They have two sons, Chris and Bryce.

Brother Terry Spears went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 16th at 1:54pm. Please pray for the family. The visitation will be at Grace Baptist Church from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday the 20th. The funeral will take place at Grace Baptist Church Thursday the 21st at 10am. The service will be broadcast live from this webpage for those around the country and in the Philippines that are not able to be here.

Dear Pastor and Church,
It is our joy to report to you that the ministry in Imus is doing well. Before we left for the states, the men (and women)
were appointed specific tasks and responsibilities. The men take turns in preaching. We are delighted to inform you that
each one carries out their own task with full commitment. We can not be more than thrilled to hear our people continuing
the work with joy in one spirit and exhibiting courage and steadfastness in the Lord in our absence! Above all, it thrills

"But He is in one mind, and who can turn Him? and what His soul desireth, even that He doeth.
For He performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with Him."
(Job 23:13-14)
Dear Pastor and Praying Brethren,
I'm sorry that it has been a while since my last update. Here's the latest news:

Health Update 10-12-12

"The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him.
The LORD is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD."
Lamentations 3:24-26

Our dear praying friends,

We are so grateful for your love and support shown to our family!

MRI:
Terry's last MRI image in August showed that the tumor has not diminished much in size since the surgery.
Last month, Terry finished the prescribed twenty-nine days of radiation treatment. The radiation-oncologist told us that it may take weeks, even months to see whether or not the treatment has deterred the tumor from growing. We will not know anything until another MRI is done. The oncologist scheduled Terry's next MRI for the first week of December.

"But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation."
Psalm 69:13

Dear Pastor and Church,
Attached is the latest update on the ministry in Imus. Our people took it upon themselves to compile this newsletter for us. They did this to ease my load, for which I am very appreciative.

Please continue to pray for Terry. He went to his scheduled MRI yesterday, but once he was inside the machine, he became very claustrophobic. It was odd, since he had never been claustrophobic prior to the surgery. He had an MRI twice before the surgery, and he never had any problems.
He is scheduled to have another one, but he will be sedated in order to have the scan done this time.

It has been twelve exciting weeks of Bible classes! Imus Baptist
recently offered two classes: "The Attributes of God" and "Soteriology".
Many of our people eagerly signed up for the free classes. These classes
were taught via internet by two preachers in the United States. Praise God
for technology!

Just want to share with you that an opportunity was opened for Terry
to hold Bible Studies at the Philippine Senate office! We are thrilled
that Terry is given a chance to speak and share about the God of the
Bible with their employees who are willing to listen. It is during
their lunch hour on Wednesdays that we hold our Bible Studies with them.
Can you imagine this taking place in Washington?!

Pray for these precious souls...

Dear Friends, July 14, 2011

We are in the final week of our short trip to the USA. We plan to cross the Border on Monday morning (July 18th) and travel all the way to Mexico City. There have been some unexpected changes in the way the Mexican customs handles temporary car importation papers. (These are the papers that allow us to keep our USA tagged vehicles in Mexico each year). Our plan is to cross with the papers that we already have and try to avoid problems. There is a possibility that we will be forced to cancel the current papers and get new car-permits. Please pray that we will not face any unnecessary complications regarding this issue.
