Dear Friends
Thank you for the many beautiful cards and the inquiries I have received concerning my health. There were far more than I could possibly answer, especially while I was so sick. So to those who I failed to answer as well as those I did here is an update. (Click on attachment below to read complete Keener Thoughts and Medical Update.)

KEENER THOUGHTS - DECEMBER - 2012

GOOD EXPERIENCES IN BAD TIMES

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong” (2 Cor `2:9-10)

SETTING OUR HOUSE IN ORDER
And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father. (2Sa 17:23)

In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. (2Ki 20:1 )

Keener Thoughts

By grace, I have had the privilege of preaching, lecturing, and teaching classes, and series of classes on given subjects, in several Bible Colleges and Seminaries. I enjoy this, and being, I think, a life-long student myself, I take great interest in what is being taught. Since the era of internet information, I scan the subject matter being offered, and a summary of much of the material being offered in several good Bible colleges, with which I am familiar, across the country.

OLD AGE AND RESPONSIBILITY
And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I. And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death: (Gen.27:1,2) (click on attachment below to read full report)

KEENER THOUGHTS - July - 2012

OUR DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. (1 Cor. 15:27-28)

LIKENESSES AND DIFFERENCES IN OUR PERSONAL HISTORY

Gen. 5: 5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died. And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan: And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters:And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.
In the previous lines, I have copied the briefest possible history of three men. These men’s lives were lived about five thousand years ago, and we have little information about, and very little ability to even imagine, how they lived. From the creation of Adam to the death of Enos, a period of 1,140 years transpired. We know a little of the changes that took place, but really, very little. All three of these men lived to be more than 900 years old, and each of them saw things the others had not seen, but they all had one thing in common. THEY DIED. BUT AS TOUCHING BROTHERLY LOVE

Love is a word which Christendom throws around as freely, and casually, as requests for
prayer, or commitments to pray for one another. No doubt, it should be a real and common part of our
Christian vocabulary, but are we as zealous in guarding and exercising this characteristic as we are in
claiming the possession of it? (Read the full report by clicking on the attachment below)

KEENER THOUGHTS - APRIL - 2012

THE GREATEST OF THESE IS CHARITY

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

March 7, 2012
Dear Pastor Brown, Members of Sherwood Baptist Church, and friends across this country,

As usual, January and February have been relatively slack months. Not many revival meetings or
missions conferences are scheduled for these two months. Nevertheless, I had the privilege of speaking for
Pastor Dean Robinson at Bethel Baptist Church in Lawton, OK, the first Sunday, and the first day of 2012.
Then I spoke for them at the annual missions conference February 7 - 9, 2012.
