Dear Praying Brethren,

Many thanks to Our Lord for you. You missed our letter last week didn’t you? Thanks for being patient with me. The week before last Peggy and Joy and I traveled to Sud Mennucci to take part in a wedding. The groom was Thiago Adorno. We knew him about 20 years ago when we worked with his family in Araraquara. At the time he was only three or four years of age. I thank the Lord that we are held in high regard with him and his family. Therein you understand what I mean when I say that it was a real honor for me to perform the ceremony and for Joy to provide all the music.

Dear Braying Brethren

Greetings in Our Precious Lord!

There are many blessings having English as one’s mother tongue. Not only are we envied by so many Brazilians who wish they knew English as naturally as we do, but English grammar comes easily. I mean, usually Americans do not have to worry too much about their verbs and their use around other verbs and nouns. In comparison to Brazilians and Portuguese we Americans have it easy.

Dear Brethren,

Greetings in Our Lord who only is worthy of anything we can be, do, or give. For Him we count it a pleasure to spend and be spent. Even though we are in slow public mode, at home we are going full throttle.

Brazil has not awakened yet. Most everyone is still on vacation mode. It has been this way since the middle of December. It will remain this way at least till the new school year begins.

Dear Praying Brethren,

Greetings in Our Lord at the beginning of another year of increasing opportunities to serve Our Lord Jesus Christ!

Thank you for praying for our recuperation after our three-week trip to the USA. A week after returning we are now finally getting a whole night’s rest. For some reason when I am overtired Mr Parkinisons gets into a rut of sleeping only about four hours at a time.

Dear Prayer Warriors,

“The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” Ps 126:3. Multiplied prayers from godly ancestors who besought a godly seed among their descendants were brought to remembrance before the Lord this last Lord’s Day, December 18. On that date God was merciful and gracious to answer such prayers and raise up, even among my family, more laborers unto His harvest.

Dear Praying Brethren,

Greetings in Our Lord with prayers that the Lord would bless you with much fruit for your labors.

The last 12 days in the USA have been blessed. Fellowship in the home of Pastor and Mrs. Koenig is refreshing as well as edifying. The Lord promised that those who forsake houses for His name’s sake shall receive an hundredfold (Mt 19:29). Verily this is so. In so very many houses we are made at home and have all our needs met. With such hospitality we are blessed in the Koenig home.

Dear Praying Brethern,

Greetings from Pastor Koenig’s home where Peggy and I are guests since our arrival last Friday morning after 28 hours in transit. The Lord blessed us with punctual flights, fellowship with our son Daniel during a layover, and safety. We are appreciative of your prayers that the Lord used to bless us so.

Dear Praying Brethren,
Greetings with rejoicing in the fact that those who cast their bread upon the waters shall find it after many days (Eccl. 11.1) You have been casting your bread upon many waters through your prayers and giving to the Wooster Baptist Temple as they send this missionary and family to Brazil. You may rejoice with us in that some of that bread has returned. Let me explain.

Dear Praying Brethren,
Thank You very much for your prayers! The trip on the Lord’s Day to Ourinhos was an enduring blessing. Enduring in that the Word preached is still working in my heart. Ourinhos is 2 ½ hours away. We left before six o’clock in the morning and returned after six o’clock that evening. There were about seven churches represented in the services. The fellowship was good and pleasant (Psalm 133.1).
