Mexico Missions Covenant Baptist Church P. O. Box 741 Broken Arrow, OK 74013 Dear Friends, September 10, 2009 We recently had a big ‘scare’ with Pastor German suffering a potential heart attack. After two weeks of tests and confusion, the stress test seemed to show that it was just a false alarm. The eco-cardiogram indicated a ‘heart attack’... but the doctors say there was none. After some rest and further medical evaluation, German is doing much better. He continues to serve in our Cuautitlan mission, and is also a great help in many other areas.

Dear Praying Friends,

Greetings. Thank you for your faithful prayers. Today I leave for a week long trip to Cardenas. Bro. Roger Ragland will be accompanying me for the trip. This will be an emotional trip for me, as it may be my last trip there, before we leave for Chile. Please pray for the Lord's blessing on the trip, and for safety as we travel. I will be bringing some things back with me that had been used in the mission apartment there, preaching a few last times, and saying lots of good-byes.

Dear Praying Brethren,
Greetings in Our Faithful Lord!
I thank each one who wrote me a note, gave helpful advice, and assured me of your prayers for that health problem with my sciatic nerve. When I wrote you about it last week I thought I was all better. Guess what? I was not recovered. It is true I am much better, but I have been spending a good amount of time on the dear mattress in my office. For some reason, that works wonders. I improved enough to travel to Rancharia on Wednesday evening which was a blessing.

July 2009 Report
Dear Pastor and Brethren:
New Jail
I’ve been reporting for some time now that the Payne County Jail System was building a new jail. As of this month, the new jail is now open and ready for service. It will house 288 prisoners whereas the old jail housed only about 70 or 80 inmates. Roxanne and I had to go to a three hour orientation and training class to become familiar with the new protocols and procedures of the new jail system. We will be considered as volunteer staff and will be issued tags to wear during our visit. With more capacity, the jail population will probably increase and there will probably be an increase in the Latino population as well.

Dear Praying Brethren,
I send you greetings in the Lord who is the health of my countenance (Psalm 43.5).
Did you notice that I changed the format of my weekly updates? I did so to give you more information of the different ministries. The last two weeks, instead of the play-by-play of our week, I have emphasized first our Website Ministry and then our participation in the churches the Lord has used us to plant since 2004. I also plan to every-now-and-then interrupt the detailed emphasis on the ministry to go back and give you the play-by-play updates of our weekly lives and activities. This letter is one of these.
