Dear Friends, March 9, 2010

We presently have a number of folks dealing with trials and illness. Pastor German was recently operated on for kidney stones. Everything went well, but they left a catheter in him for three weeks. Our neighbor Paco, (who has worked diligently with the Spurgeon audio sermon project) is scheduled to have a heart valve changed in a few weeks. This is going to cost about $4,500 dollars at the special unit that does this (Cardiologia) here in Mexico City. Paco does not have any health insurance, so we are calling on our missions and churches here to help with this.

Dear Praying Brethren,
Greetings in our humbled and exalted Lord Jesus Christ! He, who humbled Himself to the cursed death of the cross, God hath highly exalted and given a name above every name (Philippians 2.8-9). That saving work of the cross for His own which was the joy set before Him is become our salvation and our one message. Thank you for your part in the ministry of the Wooster Baptist Temple to preach Christ in Brazil through us.

Dear Praying Friends,

I have translated for you an email from Andres in Chile. After the catastrophic earthquake there, his report on our friends and brethren is really good news. I think we have now been able to make contact with all our personal friends, and to find that all are alive and healthy, although all have experienced some degree of material loss.

Forrest L. Keener Preaching Itinerary CURRENT ITINERARY FOR 2010 Note: Dear friends, Every time you read my itinerary, please know you have a prayer request from me. I desperately need the power of God upon my preaching every time I stand up. Please intercede for me in this matter. I increasingly realize that without that power, every evangelistic effort is an exercise in futility. FLK  (read Keener Thoughts in attachment below)

Hello brethren,

I have finally been able to speak to Andres.  We thank the Lord that he and his family are all fine.  Also they did not lose their house.  Where they live in Quilpue, they have been without electricity.  They have water and gas, but are gas leaks scattered through the city.  They have not been able to make contact with close friends anywhere else.  Cell service is very limited, and internet too.  There is no longer water or food available in the stores.
